The
Coordinating Council approves the appointment! termination of the executive director,
approves the annual budget, approves program initiatives, approves monitoring and
evaluation of program implementation and provides resources to sustain and grow the work
of the collaborative. In addition, the Coordinating Council provides the forum in which issues
impacting the community served by RC 2020 can be raised and addressed in a collaborative
manner.

Membership: Each RC2020 partner organization (contributes at least $25,000/year to
support the collaborative) is entitled to have two members from the policy body of its
organization serve on the Coordinating Council. These members should be elected or
appointed directors or have equivalent policy level responsibility in the partner organization.

Structure: The Coordinating Council will annually select from its membership a Chair, who
will be responsible for leading the meetings of the Coordinating Council, serving as liaison
with the Cabinet, and working with the executive director to develop meeting agendas. This
position will rotate among partner organizations on an annual basis in July, the beginning of
the fiscal year.

Meetings: The Coordinating Council will meet 6 times annually, on the second Wednesday
in February, April, June, August, and December, from 9:00-10:30 AM at the District Office of
Redwood City School District. The Coordinating Council may choose to have one of these
meetings designated as a "joint policy meeting" in which the full policy body of each partner
agency will meet together. The Coordinating Council may also choose to convene a meeting
of the community and program partners that work with RC 2020 priority areas (Community
Schools, Sequoia Teen Resource and Wellness Centers, and Community Youth
Development) to share information and receive input about community needs.

Meetings for 2009-2010 are:
.
