MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> January 13, 1997 <br /> MO. 97-009 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: January 14, 1997 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Council <br /> Community Development Director <br /> <br /> SUBJECT: Letter from Atherton Mayor Dudley regarding forming a committee of <br /> South County Cities to address issue of noise from airplanes approaching San <br /> Francisco International Airport (100) <br /> <br />Meeting of thc Council of the City of Redwood City on January 13, 1997. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmcmbcrs Buchan, Claire, Howard, La Bcrgc, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Hartnett <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> CONSENSUS: Mayor Hartnett determined it was the consensus of the <br /> Council 1) not to take part in establishing a committee to address the issue of <br /> SFIA aircraft noise; 2) to direct Redwood City staff to monitor this situation, as <br /> well as have Vice Mayor Howard, Council's C/CAG representative, monitor it <br /> though C/CAG, and 3) to have the Mayor respond to Mayor Dudley's letter <br /> advising that the Redwood City Council had no interest in being a part of <br /> founding such a committee at this time, but would appreciate being kept <br /> informed as they progress. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
