.... .." . , CGM:mf 2/5,/81 RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 8794 ORIGiNAL FEB 2 3 1981 RESOLUTION INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY IN THE VICINITY OF ALAMEDA DE LAS PULGAS, JAMES AVENUE, UPTON STREET, AND HARDING AVENUE TO CITY OF REDWOOD CITY WHEREAS, preliminary proceedings for the annexation of certain territory (Kensington Square) were commenced by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo and have been completed by the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Mateo (LAFCO); and WHEREAS, LAFCO has assigned the distinctive short-form designation of "Annexation of Kensington Square to the City of Redwood City (13:t acres)" to the territory to be annexed to the City of Redwood City and a description of the territory to be annexed is contained on "Exhibit A", attached hereto, and incorporated herein, as if set forth herein; and WHEREAS, the LAFCO has determined that the territory to be annexed is inhabited territory and that the reasons for such proposed annexation are the territory is substantially surrounded by the City of Redwood City and is already substantially developed; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That Monday, the 6th day of April, 1981, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. of said day, in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, 401 Marshall Street, Redwood City, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place where a hearing will be conducted on the proposed annexation whose distinctive short-form designation has been determined to be the aforementioned "Annexation of Kensington Square to the City of Redwood City (13:t acres)." 2. That any owner of land within the abovementioned territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Redwood City or any registered 8794
