The total count of <br />critical facilities in the inundation zone (191) represents 8.5 percent of the planning area total of 2,236. <br /> <br />Hazardous Material Facilities <br />The planning area includes two structures in the tsunami hazard areas that contain hazardous materials. Containers <br />holding these materials can rupture and leak into the surrounding area during a tsunami event, having a disastrous <br />effect on the environment as well as community members. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />15-8
