REV: 11-16-2021 RL <br />EXHIBIT “A” <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION SERVICES <br />Consultant will provide a Construction Inspector to work with the City Engineer or designee, <br />to perform construction inspection services for capital improvement projects and <br />encroachment permits. Construction Inspector, working with and at the direction of City <br />Engineer or designee shall: work with multiple capital improvement project construction <br />management teams, and receive direction and daily oversight from a project’s project <br />engineer and/or project manager based on individual project needs; manage time <br />effectively across multiple capital improvement projects as directed; correspond with <br />capital improvement project contractors; work with encroachment permit engineers for a <br />variety of utility and other encroachment permits within the public right of way; correspond <br />with encroachment permittees and contractors; perform construction inspection duties for <br />compliance with capital improvement project and permit plans, specifications, and City’s <br />Engineering Standards; write daily reports for capital improvement project and <br />encroachment permit inspections; and travel between various capital improvement project <br />and encroachment permit sites to conduct inspections. <br />CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION (TASK 1) <br />1.1 The performance of all services by Construction Inspector shall be to the <br />satisfaction of City. <br />1.2 Construction Inspector shall coordinate inspection services with the <br />assigned project engineer and/or project manager for capital <br />improvement projects, or the permit engineer for encroachment permits, <br />as necessary. <br />1.3 Construction Inspector shall schedule daily inspections and visit capital <br />improvement project or encroachment permit sites as necessary to <br />complete all services to the satisfaction of City. <br />1.4 Construction Inspector shall communicate frequently with City personnel <br />regarding needs to inspection services and capital improvement project or <br />encroachment permit activities. <br />1.5 Construction Inspector shall daily, write construction inspection reports <br />describing the type of work performed, locations of work, inspection <br />results, number of employees and types of equipment present, and other <br />information as directed by City, such reports being either in software <br />Traklt or on paper as needed. <br />ATTY/AGR.2021.295/CSG Consultants (Page 11 of 13)
