REV: 10-18-2021 RL <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY (CITY) <br />AND <br />STEVE BLANC INVESTIGATIONS (CONTRACTOR) <br />This Agreement is entered into this ____ day of _______, 2021, by and between Steve Blanc <br />Investigations, an individual, duly qualified to conduct business in the State of California, whose principal <br />place of business is 1368 Crocker Drive, El Dorado Hills, California 95726; (hereinafter referred to as <br />"Contractor"), and the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a California municipal corporation and charter <br />city ("City"). City and Contractor are sometimes referred to hereinafter individually as “Party” and <br />collectively as “Parties.” <br />* * * <br />WHEREAS, City has determined that it is necessary to obtain a Contractor to provide fire <br />department candidate background investigations, and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has represented to City that it is specially trained, experienced, expert <br />and competent to perform the special services required hereunder and City has determined to rely <br />upon such representations; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the faithful performance of the terms and <br />conditions set forth in this Agreement, the Parties hereto agree as follows: <br />1. EXHIBITS <br />The following exhibits and attachments are attached to this Agreement and incorporated into this <br />Agreement by this reference: <br />Exhibit A – Services <br />Exhibit B – Payments and Rates <br />2. SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED BY CONTRACTOR <br />In consideration of the payments set forth in this Agreement and in Exhibit B, Contractor shall <br />perform services for City in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications set forth in <br />this Agreement and in Exhibit A. <br />3. PAYMENTS <br />In consideration of the services provided by Contractor in accordance with all terms, conditions, <br />and specifications set forth in this Agreement and in Exhibit A, City shall make payment to <br />Contractor based on the rates and in the manner specified in Exhibit B. City reserves the right to <br />withhold payment if City determines that the quantity or quality of the work performed is <br />unacceptable. The City agrees to pay Contractor up to THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS <br />($30,000) per fiscal year, for a total not to exceed amount of NINETY THOUSAND DOLLARS <br />($90,000) for the completion of all the work and services described herein. <br />4.
