REV: 01-21-22 VR
Exhibit “A”
SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE
SCOPE OF SERVICES
AEI will perform a geophysical survey to investigate potential presence of a UST (or USTs) in the
vicinity of the former emergency generator at the Site. The survey area will be as depicted in the
attached figure and will include the vicinity of recent soil boring SB-14, where evidence of potential
petroleum hydrocarbons (i.e., odor) were observed in shallow soil.
The following tasks will be performed for the investigation:
Arrange for a private geophysical survey within the vicinity of the former emergency
generator to evaluate the presence of underground structures, including USTs, disturbed
soils, and/or cavities, using ground penetrating radar (GPR) and other geophysical
methods. If anomalies are identified which require further investigation, then additional
investigation may be recommended. Landscaping and existing structures (buildings, etc.)
are expected to limit or preclude surveying in some portions of the survey area.
Prepare a brief technical report detailing methods and results of the investigation,
including field survey logs and associated documentation.
Assumptions:
Proposed fees are based on the following assumptions:
Up to one-half day in the field for sampling activities and the work will occur during normal
business hours (7:00 am – 5:30 pm) Monday through Friday.
Access delays on the day of field work may result in additional costs.
AEI will have clear access to the sampling locations with necessary equipment. AEI is not
responsible for clearing survey areas for access.
Level D personal protective equipment (PPE) is the maximum necessary.
Requests for insurance certificates, access agreements, and other site-specific
documentation required by Client or Site owner/tenant must be provided to AEI at the time
of authorization to avoid delays.
Additional sampling and/or laboratory analysis beyond the proposed scope may be
required to characterize the extent and magnitude of environmental impacts. The
investigation and methodologies used are not designed to satisfy all regulatory
requirements should a regulatory case be opened, or the data discussed with the
regulatory agency.
FEE
Consultant will invoice the City with delivery of the draft report. The City will pay
Consultant within 10 days of receipt of the electronic copy of the final report. A hardcopy of the
report will be provided upon request.
ATTY/AGR.2022/Amend.
