Construction Services Agreement <br />REV: 04-26-2021 PR <br />00 5205 - 60 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MINORITY/WOMEN'S BUSINESS ENTERPRISE REQUIREMENTS <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />(A) It is the policy of the City of Redwood City to take positive steps to maximize the utilization <br />of minority and women's business enterprises in all contract activity administered. <br />(B) The contractor will utilize his/her best efforts to carry out this policy in the award of his/her <br />subcontracts including material supply contracts, to the fullest extent consistent with the <br />efficient performance of this contract. As used in this contract, the term "minority or women's <br />business enterprise" means a business, at least 50 percent of which is owned by minority <br />group members or women or, in the case of publicly owned businesses, at least 51 percent <br />of the stock is owned by minority group members or women. For the purposes of this <br />definition, minority group members are Black, Hispanic, Asian, Native Americans or Pacific <br />Islanders. <br /> (C) THE CONTRACTOR WILL SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT AS PART OF <br />HIS/HER SEALED BID: <br /> I have taken affirmative action to seek out and consider minority and women's business <br />enterprises for the portions of work to be subcontracted including material supply contracts. <br />Such actions are fully documented and attached.
