VISION AND GOALS <br />PARKS, RECREATION & COMMUNITY SERVICES NEEDS ASSESSMENT | 33 <br />Friendly Acres <br />The southeast area of this neighborhood is located <br />outside of a 10-minute walk to a City park. It is <br />bordered by the North Fair Oaks neighborhood <br />and the City of Menlo Park. The west side of the <br />neighborhood is served by Andrew Spinas Park. <br />Friendly Acres residents are, on average, lower income <br />and younger than Redwood City residents overall. <br />Redwood Oaks <br />The southeast part of the Redwood Oaks <br />neighborhood is located outside of a 10-minute walk <br />to a park. The west part of the neighborhood includes <br />Linden Park and Fleishman Park. The underserved <br />area of this neighborhood is bordered by the City of <br />Atherton and Hwy 84. On average, Redwood Oaks <br />residents are higher income and older relative to <br />Redwood City residents more broadly. <br />Palm <br />The southwest area of Palm, bordered by Hwy 84, is <br />located outside of a 10-minute walk to a park. The east <br />part of the neighborhood is served by Palm Park. Palm <br />residents are on average lower income and younger <br />than Redwood City residents overall. <br />Woodside Plaza <br />Woodside Plaza includes two areas that are located <br />outside of a 10-minute walk to a City park. These areas <br />are the northeast portion of the neighborhood, which <br />borders the Palm neighborhood and the southwest <br />corner of the neighborhood. Maddux Park is centrally <br />located within the neighborhood and Stulsaft Park <br />serves residents who live in the northwest corner of <br />Woodside Plaza. Woodside residents are on average <br />higher income and older than Redwood City as a <br />whole. <br />Farmhill <br />The west portion of Farmhill, bordering the City of <br />Woodside and Emerald Lake Hills, are located outside <br />of a 10-minute walk to a City park. The southwest area <br />is served by Stulsaft Park and Westwood Park and the <br />northeast area is served by Garrett Park. On average, <br />Farmhill residents are higher income and older than <br />Redwood City residents overall. <br />Eagle Hill <br />Eagle Hill is relatively well served by City parks. There <br />are no City parks within the neighborhood, but Red <br />Morton Park, Dove Beeger Park and Staff ord Park <br />are all about a block outside of the neighborhood <br />boundary. However, the central area of the <br />neighborhood is outside of a 10-minute walk to a park. <br />Eagle Hill residents are on average higher income and <br />older relative to Redwood City more broadly. <br />7.A. - Page 51 of 66 <br />163
