ADU Example <br />36 of 10 <br />Calculation of fees must comply with Government Code <br />§65852.2(f)(3)(A) <br />For ADUs over the minimum threshold, (750sqft) the City is <br />allowed to charge a maximum fee based on the ADU size as a <br />percent of the primary dwelling unit. <br />Average family home size,as calculated by the 2019 analysis <br />of the Citywide Floor Area Ratio, in Redwood City is 1,657 sq.ft. <br />Ex –SFH Fee is $50,000. ADU Project is 800sqft. <br />Calculation-800 / 1,657 = .482 x $50,000 = $24,140.01
