Page 2 of 3 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />ANALYSIS <br />As required by Section 2 of the ordinance, the City Clerk directed the City’s demographer to produce a <br />report describing the metes and bounds of each new City Council district and present it to the City Council <br />at the next regular meeting. If there is any discrepancy between the descriptions of a district in the <br />ordinance, the map attached as Exhibit A, or the metes and bounds description, the metes and bounds or <br />equivalent description shall prevail. <br />Attachment B is the report produced by the City’s demographer, which will be included as part of the <br />documents and files submitted to the San Mateo County election official as part of this redistricting <br />process. A copy of this report is also on file with the City Clerk’s Office for public review. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA <br />Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably <br />foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Public notification was achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least 72 <br />hours prior to the meeting. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />The City Clerk is required by Ordinance No. 2506 to direct the City’s demographer to produce a report at <br />the next meeting following adoption of the ordinance. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Attachment A – Ordinance No. 2506 <br />Attachment B – Metes and Bounds report <br />6.D. - Page 2 of 22 <br />64
