REV: 02-08-22 RL
Exhibit “B”
Description of Work
Annual maintenance in the City’s storm surge channel (Bayfront Canal) to remove vegetated
growth to prevent blocking storm drainage pipes and impeding storm water flow in the
channel including but not limited to:
•Removal of overgrowth and vegetation from within the channel bed of the
Bayfront Canal. All spoils and vegetation removed from the channel bed
and/or the access areas shall be removed from the property forthwith and
shall not be stored on any part of the Harbor Village Mobile Estates
property.
•Requires access within the property to a minimum of three work sites,
shown in Exhibit “A”.
•Requires access by and use of the following heavy equipment, (a) City
dump truck to off-haul spoils from the site and (b) crane truck and bucket
to remove spoils from the channel.
•Work will also include the minimal trimming and removal of overgrown bank
vegetation that impedes access and visibility to the work sites.
•City shall test all storm drains with dye or other sufficient methods to
determine location of all outfalls.
•The Work will not involve the dredging of the Bayfront Canal channel.
•City will cover and protect property drainage facilities during work.
•City will postpone the Work if the weather conditions dictate, i.e. significant
rainfall, and City alone will determine dates work will be done and whether
the weather so impacts the ability to perform that the Work must be halted
and recommenced at a later date.
•Work may also be postponed to a later date due to City’s need to respond
to rain emergencies elsewhere in the City.
ATTY/AGR.2021.276/City of Redwood City (Harbor Village Access Agreement) (Page 6 of 6)
