10/19/2009 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14975 <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING THE REDWOOD CITY BUDGET FOR <br />FISCAL YEAR 2009 -2010 BY TRANSFERRING $40,000 FROM THE <br />"WATER FUND CAPITAL PROJECTS — DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM <br />REPLACEMENT PROGRAM" ACCOUNT INTO THE "WATER FUND <br />CAPITAL PROJECTS — MASTER METER/BACKFLOW PREVENTION" <br />ACCOUNT <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Services Department is engaged in an ongoing <br />effort to replace master water meters in Redwood Shores in an effort to improve the <br />reliability and performance of the equipment and standardize older water meters with <br />other recently installed units; and <br />WHEREAS, the master water meters for the Redwood Shores and Harborside <br />Apartments are outdated and require replacement; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redwood City adopted Resolution No. <br />14955 approving its Fiscal Year 2009 -2010 budget; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2009 -2010 budget did not include the funds within <br />the Master Meter /Backflow Prevention account necessary to complete the Master Water <br />Meter Replacement Project in Redwood Shores; and <br />WHEREAS, amendment of the current year budget is necessary to reallocate <br />available funds and make them available for expenditure on the Master Water Meter <br />Replacement Project (Redwood Shores and Harborside Apartments) by transferring <br />$40,000 from the "Distribution System Replacement Program" account to the "Master <br />Meter /Backflow Prevention" account. <br />ATTY /RESO /RESO.1954 <br />101309 <br />#14975 <br />MUFF # 304 <br />1 <br />
