REV: 06-02-22 SK Memorandum of Understanding Parties: Ellen Wu, Urban Habitat Melissa Stevenson Diaz, City of Redwood City. Date: May 23, 2022 Subject:Subgrant of Silicon Valley Community Foundation grant for South Bay-Peninsula Preservation Lab Technical Assistance Fund This memorandum of understanding (“MOU”) describes a commitment by Urban Habitat to make a subgrant in the amount of $20,000 to the City of Redwood City. Background Urban Habitat was awarded a grant from the Silicon Valley Community Foundation for funding Technical Assistance needs as part of the South Bay-Peninsula Preservation Lab. After reviewing the proposals submitted for funding, City of Redwood City was approved for a subgrant. Scope of Work City of Redwood City will develop an over-the-counter housing preservation fund. Additional Agreements City of Redwood City agrees to: •Complete all activities as described in this MOU by or before December 31, 2022. •Provide regular update briefings and feedback discussions at the South Bay-Peninsula Preservation Lab convenings. •Provide Urban Habitat with updates on significant progress on work relating to activities described in the Scope of Work, and with information on the activities and outcomes under this subgrant by December 31, 2022. •Spend the funds only for the purposes stated in this MOU. •By countersigning this MOU, you agree that your organization will not promote or engage in violence, terrorism, bigotry or the destruction of any State. Urban Habitat will pay the City of Redwood City $20,000 upon both parties’ signing this MOU.
