<br />REPORT <br /> <br />6.1C <br />age 1 <br /> <br />To the Honorable M.ayor and City Council <br />From theCi Mana .er <br /> <br />October 26, 2009 <br /> <br />SUBJECT <br />Execution of Funding Agreements for FY 09-10 Human Services Financial Assistance <br />Program (HSFA) <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize the City Manager to execute the Human Services Financial Assistance <br />Program agreements in the amounts specified in the 2009/2010 fiscal year approved <br />budget. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />After reviewing each proposal and hearing presentations from each of the applicants, <br />the Housing and Human Concerns Committee voted on April 8 to recommend funding <br />as indicated below. On June 22, the Council instructed the City Manager to include <br />these recommendations in the FY 09-10 budget ordinance. Council approved the FY <br />09-10 budget ordinance on July 13. <br /> <br />Agreements have been developed with each of the following agencies for FY 09-10 <br />HSFA: <br /> <br />HSFA A licant <br />Ba Area Le al Aid <br />Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA) - 24 Hour <br />Crisis Hotline and Su art Services <br />Family Service Agency of San Mateo County (FSA) - Senior <br />Dinin Pro ram and Su ortive Services <br />Fresh Lifelines for Youth, Inc FLY <br />International Institute of the Bay Area (IISA) - Deportation <br />Defense for Immigrant Families <br /> <br />A roved Amount <br />$8,015.00 <br /> <br />$15,000.00 <br /> <br />$19,879.00 <br />$9,000.00 <br /> <br />$5,000.00 <br /> <br />International Institute of the Say Area (USA) - San Mateo <br />County Immigration, Citizenship, and Community Education <br />Pro ram. <br />Kainos Home and Training Center - Medical Care Access and <br />Healthy Solutions <br /> <br />$5,000.00 <br />$8,000.00 <br /> <br />Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County - HomeSavers <br />Pro ram <br />Ombudsman Services of San Mateo Count <br />Peninsula Volunteers, Inc - Meals on Wheels <br />Rape Trauma Services (RTS) - Rape & Sexual Abuse <br />Prevention Program <br /> <br />$10,000.00 <br />$10,000.00 <br />$12,000.00 <br /> <br />$8,000.00 <br />
