DEFINITIONS AND EXHIBITS <br />A. The following words and terms shall have the meanings as specifically <br />defined in this Section 1 or in the Agreement in the Sections indicated below: <br />(1) "Affordable Rent" is defined in Section 3B. <br />(2) "Agreement" is defined in the first sentence of this Agreement on page <br />(3) "Area Median Income" means the area median income for San Mateo <br />County, California adjusted for family size appropriate for the Home by the State of <br />California Department of Housing and Community Development in accordance with <br />adjustment factors adopted and amended from time to time by the United States Department <br />of Housing and Urban Development pursuant to Section 8 of the United States Housing Act <br />of 1937, and California Health and Safety Code Section 50093. <br />page 1. <br />(4) "City" is defined in the first sentence of this Agreement on page 1. <br />(5) "City Deed of Trust" is defined in Recital G. <br />(6) "City Designated Purchaser" is defined in Section 8A. <br />(7) "City Option" is defined in Section 10A. <br />(8) "City Purchase Option Upon Default" is defined in Section 16. <br />(9) "Domestic Partners" is defined in Section 6A. <br />(10) "Effective Date" is defined in the first sentence of this Agreement on <br />(11) "Eligible Purchaser" is defined in Section 9C. <br />(12) "Excess Rental Proceeds" is defined in Section 3B. <br />(13) "Excess Sales Proceeds" is defined in Section 12. <br />(14) "First City Response Notice" is defined in Section 8. <br />(15) "First Lender" is defined in Recital F.
