<br />.~ <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N o. 830 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING LEASE OF PROPERTY AT JEFFERSON <br />AVENUE A1TD IvlIDDLEPIELD ROAD TO THE REDWOOD <br />CITY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE <br /> <br />RESOLVED by the Council of Redwood City as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the bid of the Red1Nood City Chamber of Commerce <br /> <br />for the lease of certain City owned property is hereby accepted; <br /> <br />said property being described as follows: <br /> <br />A parcel of land in the City of Redwood City, <br />County of San Mateo, State of California, <br />being a portion of Block 4 of that certain <br />map entitled "Map of the Property in Villa <br />Lots of J. V. DILLER Situated in Redwood City," <br />filed September 18, 1863 in Vol. E of original <br />Maps at Page 77, and a copy entered in Vol. 1 <br />at Page 83, Official Records of San Mateo County; <br />said parcel being more particularly described <br />as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at the intersection of the South- <br />eastern line of Jefferson Avenue (formerly <br />Washington Street) 70.00 feet in width with <br />the Southwestern line of Middlefield Road <br />(Webster Street) 70.00 feet in width; tllence <br />S L~l 0 58' 20" W 96.00 feet along said South- <br />eastern line of Jefferson Avenue; thence S <br />L~80 01' 40" E 67.00 feet; thence N 41 0 58' 20" <br />E 101.71 feet to said Southwestern line of <br />Middlefield Road, thence N 520 54' W 67.24 <br />feet along said Southwestern line of Middle- <br />field Road to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />2. That the City Manager of Redwood City is hereby authorized <br /> <br />and directed to enter into a lease of said property with said <br /> <br />Chamber of Commerce under the following terms and conditions: <br /> <br />a. Lease to be for a term of ten (10) years. <br /> <br />b. Lessee to construct a buildihg on the demised <br />premises prior to July 4, 1950, in accordance <br />with plans and specifications to be approved by <br />T.Je S Bar. <br /> <br />c. The building so constructed to become the prop- <br />erty of' Le s sar. <br /> <br />d. Rental for the property to be One Dollar ($1.00) <br />per year. <br /> <br />e.
