SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Task 1 – Project Coordination and Management <br />Consultant shall provide budget tracking, schedule tracking, and communication with <br />Public Works Services (“PWS”) staff as designated by the PWS Director (“City Staff”). <br />Consultant shall hold a kick-off meeting and monthly progress update with City Staff, and, <br />may include from time to time, the San Mateo County Flood and Sea Level Rise <br />Resiliency District (OneShoreline), via video conference. Progress updates shall include <br />invoices, presentations and agendas, as needed. <br />Deliverables <br />Consultant shall conduct a kickoff meeting to confirm project goals and <br />objectives, share site understanding, discuss potential evaluation criteria and <br />study approach <br />Consultant shall conduct monthly progress meetings (assumes 8 meetings by <br />video conference, which are in addition to any other meetings with specified <br />topics listed in this agreement, e.g., Kickoff, Alternatives, Vulnerability, Report <br />Review, etc.). <br />Task 2 – Review Existing Conditions <br />Task 2.1 Data Review and Analysis <br />Consultant shall review: <br />Existing studies of the City shoreline, which will include data layers developed as <br />part of publicly available modeling and flood mapping efforts. This shall include <br />but is not limited to: <br />o The most recent Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) and Flood Insurance Rate <br />Map (FIRM) developed by the Federal Emergency Management <br />Administration (FEMA) <br />o Coastal Storm Modeling System (CoSMoS) maps developed by the U.S. <br />Geological Survey <br />o Adapting to Rising Tides (ART) maps developed by the Bay Conservation <br />and Development Commission (BCDC) <br />o Countywide efforts such as the San Mateo County Sea Change <br />Vulnerability Assessment and OneShoreline’s shoreline protection <br />strategy <br />o The Strategy to Advance Flood protection, Ecosystems and Recreation <br />along the San Francisco Bay (“SAFER Bay”) designs for coastal levee at <br />the Menlo Park / Redwood City border <br />o Inner Harbor Specific Plan (draft) sea level rise (“SLR”) adaptation <br />measures <br />Data available from City Staff for past flood events and observed vulnerabilities <br />ATTY/AGR.2022.381/Environmental Science Associates (Page 11 of 17)
