EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />Consultant will provide an increase in academic excellence for the enrolled parents and <br />students through the United Through Education curriculum. Consultant will teach parents <br />how to support and help their children achieve success, focusing on the academic, social <br />emotional and physical aspects of a healthy life. This comprehensive course will help <br />families become well-rounded and empower both parents and students academically, <br />socially and emotionally. <br />Throughout virtual workshops and one-on-one coaching, Consultant will: <br />- Implement reading strategies for fiction and non-fiction books, applied <br />mathematics in daily life, and using the scientific method by conducting science <br />experiments. <br />- Help families develop habits that will allow them to thrive in a post COVID-19 <br />World. <br />- Incorporate relevant topics into training and coaching with a focus on creating a <br />culture of long-term focus and positivity. <br />- Lessons will include proper time management, prioritization, creating a positive <br />learning environment, setting short term and long-term goals to implement a <br />joyful reading routine, and visiting the library to select books of interest and at the <br />appropriate reading level. <br />- Promote positive mental health. <br />- Educate families about community resources to cope with the challenges of <br />COVID-19. <br />The first workshop will be held in Adelante Selby School on the following dates: <br />September 8, 2022; September 22, 2022; October 6, 2022; October 20, 2022; November <br />3, 2022; November 17, 2022; December 1, 2022; December 8, 2022; and the graduation <br />celebration on December 11, 2022. The program will run from 6:00 PM — 7:30 PM. <br />The second workshop will be held in Henry Ford on the following dates: <br />January 31, 2023; February 14, 2023; March 7, 2023; March 21, 2023; April 4, 2023; April <br />25, 2023; May 9, 2023; May 23, 2023 and the graduation celebration on June 4, 2023. <br />The program will run from 6:00 PM — 7:30 PM. <br />City will pay Consultant in two installments of Fifteen Thousands Two Hundred Dollars <br />(15,200) upon 1) execution of this Agreement and 2) completion of all Services to the <br />satisfaction of the Library Director or designee, pursuant to invoicing consistent with the <br />terms of Section 6, Compensation. <br />REV: 09-01-2022 RL <br />
