The program aims to support the <br />community with skyrocketing mental health issues, rising rates of depression and <br />social isolation, and to help students feel connected during distance learning, <br />and stay in school by forming positive relationships with an adult who cares for <br />them who is not from their family. Friends for Youth aims to match more youth in <br />the Redwood City community to 1-to-1 mentors, as well as set the groundwork <br />for expansion to Redwood High School and Woodside High School. <br /> <br />Primary Quantitative Objectives: <br /> <br />Friends for Youth will serve 400 incorporated Redwood City persons in 100 <br />households. <br /> <br />NOTE: The grant performance period begins July 1, 2022 and concludes June 30, 2023 <br /> <br />
