REV: 09-20-2022 SK
EXHIBIT A
CITY OF REDWOOD CITY
Fresh Lifelines for Youth, Inc. (FLY)
FISCAL YEAR 2022-2023
Agency Information
Agency Name:Fresh Lifelines for Youth, Inc.
Address:568 Valley Way
City, State, Zip:Milpitas, CA 95035
Activity/Program Title:Law and Leadership Programs for Redwood City Youth
Quantitative Goals
Description of Services to be Provided:
Fresh Lifelines for Youth, Inc. (FLY) will provide its Law and Leadership Program to 24 at-risk
and system-involved Redwood City youth. Youth ages 14-21 who are at risk of continued or
future involvement in the juvenile system, gain tools to lead self-sufficient and productive lives.
The Law Program is an innovative law-related education course taught in 2-hour sessions
over 12 weeks by volunteer law and university students, community professionals, and FLY
staff. The Law Program uses discussions of youth’s rights and responsibilities under the law
as a starting point for developing their social-emotional learning (SEL) skills, such as self-
awareness, social awareness, critical thinking, and self-advocacy. Youth who need more
support are invited to join the Leadership Program, which provides 10 months of case
management and systems navigation support. In the Leadership Program, case managers
help youth stabilize their basic needs, work toward educational goals, and gain skills for
adulthood. Youth also participate in group positive social events and community service
activities together, which help them develop community supports and leadership skills.
Primary Quantitative Objectives:
FLY will serve 24 incorporated Redwood City persons in 24 households.

NOTE: The grant performance period begins July 1, 2022 and concludes June 30, 2023
ATTY/AGR.2022.353/Fresh Lifelines for Youth (Page 10 of 10)
Signature:
Email:
Alexandria Cooley (Jan 19, 2023 15:11 PST)
Alexandria Cooley
acooley@flyprogram.org
