REV: 01-27-23 JB
EXHIBIT “A”
SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE
Consultant shall provide hydraulic modeling support related to evaluating the impact of
the proposed developments at 1 and 10 Twin Dolphin Drive on the City’s Redwood
Shores wastewater collection system. The work will be based on the hydraulic model
developed and used for the City’s draft Sanitary Sewer Master Plan prepared in 2021.

The work items included in this project are described below.

Consultant will create new model scenarios incorporating the proposed Twin Dolphin
Drive development projects. Three (3) scenarios will be created: for each development
individually and a combined development scenario. The estimated flows from the
proposed developments will be added to the model based on the proposed development
types and sizes as provided by the City and the City’s design unit flow factors.
Consultant will run the model for dry weather and design storm wet weather scenarios.
Diurnal wastewater flow profiles, infiltration/inflow rates, pump station operating
parameters, and design storm rainfall will be based on those used for the draft Sewer
Master Plan. Based on the model results, Consultant will assess the capacity impact of
the projects on downstream sewers and pump stations PS01 and PS02 (based on their
firm capacity as reported in the draft Sewer Master Plan report).
Consultant will summarize the model results in a brief Technical Memorandum (TM) for
review by the City. The TM will document the model updates and assumptions made for
the evaluation. Comments received from the City will be incorporated into a final TM.
Consultant will provide overall contract management of the project, including monitoring
of project budget and schedule, preparation of invoices, and communication with the City
by telephone and e-mail regarding project status and issues.

Deliverables:
Draft and final summary TMs
Monthly invoices and progress reports
Fees:
Consultant shall complete the services based the hourly rate schedule provided below.
Schedule:
Draft TM will be submitted within 21 working days after receipt of Notice to Proceed
from the City and confirmation of the development quantities for the two development
projects.
ATTY/AGR.2023.015/Woodard & Curran (Twin Dolphin Serwer Impact) (Page 11 of 12)
