REV: 03-06-23 RL <br />EXHIBIT “A” <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />Consultant will perform the following tasks: <br />Task 1: Connect with child care operators within Redwood City to determine status of <br />their operations and offer any technical assistance that the Consultant provides, and <br />report back to the City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Director or their <br />designee (Director). <br />Deliverable: Provide one end of calendar year report to the Director by December 31, <br />2023 that lists all active child care operators within Redwood City and the confirmation <br />that technical assistance was offered by the Consultant. <br />Task 2: Research existing data from State Child Care Licensing and from County based <br />child care organizations. <br />Deliverable: Share Redwood City specific data, present as needed, and align activities <br />with community based partners. <br />Task 3: Convene Redwood City Togethers’ Child Care Working Group to develop two <br />goals statements <br />Deliverable: Develop two goals statements by October 1, 2023 that the Child Care <br />Working Group can focus on to work on during calendar year 2024. <br />Task 4: In collaboration with City and Redwood City Together, coordinate and facilitate <br />quarterly Child Care Working Group meetings and correspondence <br />Deliverable: Coordinate and facilitate quarterly Child Care Working Group meetings and <br />correspondence <br />Task 5: Host town halls and resource events to connect with the greater child care <br />community. <br />Deliverable: Host three town halls and resources events during 2023 programmatic year <br />Task 6: Explore launching a Redwood City “Steps to Success” pilot program based on <br />models from San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. <br />Deliverable: Meet with and gather information to model the Steps to Success pilot <br />program from representatives from the Child Care Partnership council of San Mateo <br />County and Santa Clara County. <br />ATTY/AGR.2023.038/Child Care Coordinating Council of San Mateo County (Page 11 of 12)
