REV: 03-10-23 JB <br />EXHIBIT “A” <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES – TRANSPORTATION SERVICES. <br />Upon request from the City, the Consultant shall provide civil and transportation <br />planning and engineering services on an as-needed basis. Examples of typical <br />projects or requests include the following: <br />A.Development Review. Completion of local transportation analyses for <br />development projects evaluations in addition to other requirements of the City’s <br />Transportation Analysis Manual, peer review of local transportation analyses <br />provided by others, and review of offsite transportation improvements. <br />B.Active Transportation Planning and Design. Plan for and design of pedestrian <br />and bicycle facilities, plan complete streets projects, and develop Safe Routes to <br />School improvement plans. <br />C.Railroad Coordination and Design. Review and respond to proposed rail <br />crossing improvements on the Caltrain corridor and/or Union Pacific Railroad <br />(“UPRR”) industrial lead, serve as the City’s representative at diagnostic meetings, <br />review and/or update railroad-specific traffic signal timing and coordination, <br />engage UPRR staff and consultants to advance their review and approval of <br />crossing improvements, develop improvement plans for at-grade crossings. <br />D.Traffic Operations. Simulate isolated signals and corridors, develop improvement <br />plans for intersection modifications (modified lane configurations, signal timing <br />changes, new traffic controls, signal modifications), evaluate and respond to a <br />variety of community requests (e.g., stop signs, traffic signals, streetlights), collect <br />multimodal data and update engineering and traffic surveys. <br />E.Design Services.
