REV: 03-10-23 JB B.Construction Management a)Provide a high-level of communication with the City’s project manager and updated work schedules on a biweekly basis; b)Monitor and assess project budgets and cost controls; c)Coordinate with design staff as required; d)Conduct regular meetings with contractor to discuss job-site issues, coordination, project budget, and project schedule; e)Notify City’s project manager of any potential problems and conditions which could result in delays and/or change order requests; f)Administer project including processing and reviewing RFIs, submittals, potential change orders, progress payments and potential claims. Review and make recommendations to City’s project manager regarding change order requests, negotiate contract change orders, and related correspondence; g)Answer calls and emails from the public and respond within 24 hours; respond in writing within 3 working days to letters received from the public; h)Ensure appropriate communication between contractor and the public; i)Maintain project files and records and deliver them to City’s project manager upon completion of the project; j)Review contractor progress payment requests; k)Perform a final review of the work with the City and compile a punch list for the contractor; l)Review final quantities and payments and obtain redline as-built plans from the contractor; m)Follow all applicable requirements for projects with state and federal funding, as outlined in the most recent version of the Caltrans Local Assistance Procedures Manual TRANSPORTATION SERVICES. Upon written request from the City’s Transportation Manager through issuance of a Task Order, Consultant shall provide civil and transportation planning and engineering services on an as-needed basis. Examples of typical projects or requests include the following: A.Development Review. Completion of local transportation analyses (CEQA and non-CEQA) for development projects (including both level of service (“LOS”) and vehicle-miles traveled (“VMT”) evaluations in addition to other requirements of the City’s Transportation Analysis Manual), peer review of local transportation analyses provided by others, and review of offsite transportation improvements (potentially involving vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians, buses, and train tracks). B.Active Transportation Planning and Design. Plan for and design of pedestrian and bicycle facilities, plan complete streets projects, and develop Safe Routes to School improvement plans. C.Traffic Operations. Simulate isolated signals and corridors, develop improvement plans for intersection modifications (modified lane configurations, signal timing changes, new traffic controls, signal modifications), evaluate and respond to a ATTY/AGR.2023.043/Hexagon (On-Call Engineering Services) (Page 12 of 14)
