That the proposed use is compatible with surrounding uses. <br />The proposed office development is compatible with surrounding uses which <br />include a mixture of commercial, industrial, quasi-public (Church) and <br />residential uses. In addition, the project site is adjacent to the boundaries of <br />Redwood City’s downtown which is an urban, dense environment with a <br />mixture of different uses. A mixed-use project of the size and scale proposed <br />would thus be compatible with a transitional urban mixed-use zone. <br /> <br />c. That the use and its associated structures and facilities will not be <br />detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare of the people and <br />property of Redwood City. <br />The proposed office will not be detrimental to the public health, safety, or <br />welfare of the people of Redwood City because the use would take place <br />indoors and is not associated with noise, odors, or hazardous materials. <br /> <br />d.
