Transitional housing and supportive housing shall be considered a residential use of <br />property and shall be subject only to those restrictions that apply to other residential <br />dwellings of the same type in the same zone. <br />2. Supportive housing, as defined in Government Code Section 65650, shall be a use by <br />right in all zones where multifamily and mixed uses are permitted, as provided in Article <br />11 (commencing with Section 65650). <br />3. In accordance with applicable San Carlos ALUCP Safety Compatibility policies and State <br />law. <br /> <br />[Article 2, Sections 5.1, 5.2, and 5.7 are amended and Section 5.10 is added as follows] <br />ARTICLE 5 RH (RESIDENTIAL—HILLSIDE) AND R-1 (RESIDENTIAL—SINGLE-FAMILY) DISTRICTS <br />5.1 Purpose. <br />This article sets forth two zoning districts for low-density single-family residential living that <br />promotes primarily detached single-family homes and related uses, including accessory <br />dwelling units, and implements the requirements of Government Code Section 65852.21. <br />[Subsections A and B are unchanged] <br />A. RH District—This district is located in the hillside areas and promotes a semi-rural <br />environment with sloped lots and curvilinear streets. <br />B. R-1 District—This district is located predominantly in the western portion of the city <br />with both sloped and flat lots and promotes a low-density residential living <br />environment. <br /> <br />5.2 Use Regulations Uses Allowed by District. <br />See Section 4.2 (Use Regulations in Residential Zoning Districts) for Use Regulations in the R-1 <br />Zoning District. <br /> <br />1. Listed Uses. Table 5-2 indicates the uses permitted (P), permitted with a conditional use <br />permit (C), permitted as an accessory use (A) and not permitted (-) in both the RH and R-1 <br />Zoning Districts. <br />2. Uses Not Listed. Any use not specifically indicated in Table 5-2 is prohibited unless deemed <br />by the Zoning Administrator to be a similar and compatible use which meets the purpose <br />and intent of the Zoning District. <br />3. Within a Structure. All uses shall be conducted within a structure, unless stated otherwise.
