ATTY/RESO.0046/PC RESO RECOMMENDING ZONING TEXT & MAP AMENDMENTS – EXHIBIT A <br />REV: 06-02-23 JB <br />Page 4 of 66 <br />supervision, and assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing and grooming, to <br />residents sixty (60) years of age and over and persons under sixty (60) with compatible needs, <br />and with population composition and licensing requirements consistent with Cal. Code of Reg., <br />Title 22; Division 6, Chapter 8. This use includes continuing care uses and is exclusive of small <br />residential care facilities. <br /> <br />Residential Care Facility, Small. Any facility, place, or building that is maintained and <br />operated to Facilities for 6 or fewer adult residents that provide twenty-four (24)-hour care of <br />persons in need of personal services, supervision, or assistance essential for sustaining the <br />activities of daily living or for the protection of the individual and licensed by the state of <br />California for occupation by six (6) or fewer persons. See definition under Title 22 (Social <br />Security) in the California Code of Regulations (Section 80001[g]). <br /> <br />Rest Home. Any premises licensed under Section 2300 of the Welfare and Institutions <br />Code of the State of California. <br /> <br />SB 9 Project. A proposed development containing no more than two residential dwelling <br />units within a single family residential zone that meets the requirements set forth in <br />Government Code 65852.21 and Article 5, Section 5.10. <br /> <br />School - public and private (land use). A public or private academic educational <br />institution. Illustrative examples of these uses include: boarding school; community college, <br />college, or university; elementary, middle, or junior high school; high school; and military <br />academy. Also includes schools providing specialized education/training. Illustrative examples <br />of these uses include: art school; business, secretarial, and vocational school; computers and <br />electronics school; culinary arts; dance school; drama school; driver education school; and <br />language school. Also includes facilities that offer specialized programs in personal growth and <br />development (i.e., arts, communications, diet centers, environmental awareness, management, <br />etc.). Does not include part-time religious instruction at places of worship. Does not include or <br />child care centers preschools and child day care facilities (see "Child Care Center"). See also the <br />definition of "Studio - Art, Dance, Martial Arts, Music, etc." under "Personal Services" for <br />smaller-scale facilities offering specialized instruction. <br /> <br />Skilled Nursing Facility Facilities. Facilities that provide An in-patient health care services <br />facility and which are licensed and operated as a Skilled Nursing Facility under state of <br />California Department of Health Care Services regulations. <br /> <br />Sufficient to Allow Separate Conveyance. Shall mean each housing unit being <br />constructed in a manner adequate to allow transfer of title, ownership, rights, and interest in <br />the property, from one entity to another. <br /> <br />Supportive Housing. Housing linked to on-or-off-site services with no limit on stay that <br />support target populations as defined in Health and Safety Code Section 53260. This definition <br />shall be construed in light of the definition in Health and Safety Code Section
