REV: 06-26-2023 JB <br />EXHIBIT “A” <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />The City of Redwood City desires Consultant to perform work in the following areas: <br />Provide professional planning services in the review of current <br />development applications, including but not limited to: <br />o Communicating with applicants and other interested parties. This <br />includes conferring with and advising architects, builders, attorneys, <br />contractors, engineers, and the public regarding City development <br />policies and standards and working with applicants to reach an <br />agreement on acceptable site plans, reviewing building plans, parcel <br />maps, and subdivision proposals for conformance with city development <br />policies and standards. <br />o Preparing initial environmental studies and environmental notices. This <br />may include the preparation of Negative Declarations for projects when <br />appropriate or the coordination of environmental studies with <br />environmental consultants in the preparation of complex environmental <br />documents (e.g., EIRs). <br />o Preparing public hearing notices and agendas. <br />o Preparing recommendations and reports to advisory bodies, <br />planning commission, and city council. <br />o Attending meetings including those at advisory bodies, planning <br />commission, and city council. <br />Provide professional planning services in the development of long-range <br />planning studies, policy documents, standards, and regulations, including <br />but not limited to: <br />o Planning-related studies/white papers <br />o Zoning and General Plan Amendments <br />o Specific or Precise Plans <br />o Objective Standards <br />Consultant shall provide on-call planning services upon request from the Assistant <br />Community Development Director, or designee. Each Task Order shall include a <br />scope of work for each individual project and a list of required tasks and time frame <br />for deliverables. <br />Before issuing the Task Order a draft scope of work shall be sent to the Consultant <br />with a deadline for a response. In the response, the Consultant will include the <br />staff resources they can commit to the project, an estimated timeline, and a <br />detailed cost for the provision of the services. <br />ATTY/AGR.2023.149/MCL Planning (On-Call Planning Services) (Page 12 of 14)
