REV: 07-06-2023 MI <br />EXHIBIT “A” <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br />Contractor will provide fully trained crossing guards at designated locations, Monday <br />through Friday, excluding days when the following schools are not in session: Redwood <br />City School District, Belmont-Redwood Shores School District and Sequoia Union High <br />School District. <br />A. The City shall determine the locations where crossing guards shall be furnished by the <br />Contractor. The Contractor shall provide at each designated location personnel equipped and <br />trained in appropriate procedures for crossing pedestrians in marked crosswalks. <br />B. Contractor shall provide a program manager who will coordinate crossing guard services with <br />a Police Department liaison. <br />C. Contractor shall provide a supervisor to ensure guard activities are taking place at the <br />required places and times and that proper safety procedures are complied with. <br />D. Contractor shall provide fully trained and equipped alternate personnel to ensure all <br />designated locations are covered in the event regular personnel are absent. <br />E. Contractor shall provide all crossing guards with a standardized uniform and proper weather <br />apparel and gear, approved by the Chief of Police, which will be worn at all times, while <br />performing their duties. <br />F. Contractor shall provide all crossing guards with handheld stop signs and reflective vests, <br />which comply with applicable State and City laws and regulations. <br />G. Contractor shall only provide crossing guards trained in the laws and codes of the State of <br />California and the City of Redwood City, pertaining to general pedestrian safety and school <br />crossing areas, and in general traffic safety for pedestrians, motorists, and the crossing guards <br />themselves. <br />H. For Contractor’s personnel providing services under this Agreement, Contractor shall provide <br />the Department with copies of all training certificates and evidence of compliance with <br />California Vehicle Code section 21100, as it relates to crossing guards and compliance with <br />21100(i) <br />ATTY/AGR.2023.168/All City Management Services (RCSD Crossing Guard Services) (Page 11 of 12)
