CGM:mf 12/26{80 CGM:mf 1/5/8 R RES 0 L UTI 0 N !iQ. 8773 ORIGINAL JAN 5 1981 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT IN CONNECTION WITH ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC NUISANCE BY REMOVAL OF WEEDS, DIRT, RUBBISH AND/OR RANK GROvlTHS WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8758, adopted December 15, 1980, the City Clerk called for bids for the letting of a contract for the performance of certain work of removal of weeds, dirt, rubbish and/or rank growth in the City of Redwood City for the year 1980-81; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said resolution, the City Clerk called for bids and one bid was received and filed with the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, BAY PEST CONTROL, INC., San Mateo, California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said contract to Bay Pest Control, Inc., NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The bid of Bay Pest Control, Inc., in the total amount of Thirty-one Thousand Eight Hundred Two and No/IOO Dollars ($31,802.00), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated December 11, 1980, for the performance of the work necessary to abate the public nuisance created by weeds, dirt, rubbish and/or rank growths in the City of Redwood City, California, in accordance with the specifications approved by Resolution No. 8758, is hereby accepted. Any irregularities or informalities that may be contained in said bid are hereby waived. 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that certain agreement entitled "Agreement" (form dated 12/18/80) between the City of Redwood City and Bay Pest Control, Inc., for the performance of said work in accordance with the above Sri73
