Sec. 9.82 SECTION 2316.2 OF THE BUILDING CODE DELETED: Section <br />2316.2 of the Building Code is hereby deleted. <br /> <br /> Sec. 9.83 SECTION 2320.11.3, ITEMS 5 AND 7 OF THE BUILDING CODE <br />AMENDED: Section 2320.11.3, Items 5 and 7 of the Building Code are hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 2320.11.3 Conventional Construction Provisions (Bracing) are amended <br /> as follows. <br /> <br /> Item 5: Delete Section 2320.11.3, Item 5 which allows the use of gypsum board <br /> for bracing. <br /> <br /> Item 7: Portland cement plaster on studs spaced 16 inches on center installed in <br /> accordance with Table No. 25-1. Limited to one-story structures of R-3 and U-1 <br /> occupancies. <br /> <br /> Sec. 9.84 SECTION 2602.5.3 OF THE BUILDING CODE AMENDED: Section <br />2602.5.3 of the Building Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 2602.5.3 Roofing. Foam plastic insulation meeting the requirements of <br /> Sections 2602.2, 2602.3, and 2602.4 may be used as part of a roof-covering <br /> assembly; provided, that the assembly with the foam plastic insulation is a Class <br /> A or B roof assembly when tested in accordance with U.B.C. Standard No. 15-2. <br /> Foam plastic insulation which is a part of a Class A or B roof-covering assembly <br /> need not meet with requirements of Sections 2602.2, 2602.3, and 2602.4; <br /> provided, that the assembly with the foam plastic insulation satisfactorily passes <br /> the test for insulated roof decks. <br /> <br /> Any roofing assembly installed in accordance with this code and the <br /> manufacturer's instructions may be applied over foam plastic insulation when the <br /> foam is separated from the interior of the building by wood structural panel <br /> sheathing not less than one-half inch (1/2") in thickness bonded with exterior <br /> glue, with edges supported by blocking, tongue-and-groove joints or other <br /> approved type of edge support, or an equivalent material. The thermal barrier <br /> requirement is waived. <br /> <br /> For all roof applications, the smoke-developed rating shall not be limited. <br /> <br /> Sec. 9.85 SECTION 421.1, ITEM 5 OF APPENDIX CHAPTER 4, DIVISION 1 <br /> OF THE BUILDING CODE DELETED: Section 421.1, Item 5 of Appendix Chapter 4, <br /> Division 1 of the Building Code is hereby deleted and shall have no force or effect in the <br /> City. <br /> <br /> Atty/Ord/Ord.167 <br /> 1 O2402 17 <br /> <br /> 2241 <br /> <br /> <br />
