REV: 01-16-24 MI 4) Testing of Safety Devices The Contractor shall periodically examine both car and counterweight. The first examination shall be within one (1) month of the Effective Date of the Agreement. On an annual basis, Contractor shall test the pressure relief valve of the hydraulic elevators. The first test shall be done within one (1) month of the Effective Date of the Agreement. For all elevators with firefighters’ service, Contractor shall provide monthly Phase I recall and a minimum of one-floor operation on Phase II to assure the system is maintained in proper operating order. A written record of dates that tests were performed and findings on the operation shall be made and kept in the machine room of premises. Contractor shall test any battery lowering device annually and shall ensure that such devices operate as intended. The first test shall be done within one (1) month of the Effective Date of the Agreement. Contractor shall test the operation of the elevator under fire and other emergency conditions to determine conformance with the applicable requirements of Rules 211. 3 through 211. 8, 3128, Rule 1002.2fJ. 5) Stock of Materials Contractor shall provide only genuine parts supplied by the original manufacturer of the equipment for replacement or repair, and shall furnish and use only those lubricants obtained from and/or recommended by the manufacturer of the equipment. The Contractor shall maintain a parts inventory and parts accessibility network stocked with exclusive quality replacement parts. The Contractor shall stock commonly used parts at the customer's job site, as well as in the service technician's mobile vehicle. 6) Elevator Performance Requirements Contractor shall maintain system performance, as per manufacturer’s specifications. Should City inspect the system and find it not in conformance with the manufacturer's system performance specifications, Contractor shall make necessary adjustments to bring the equipment into conformance within thirty (30) days of receipt of written notification of deficiencies. At the start of the Agreement, the Contractor shall provide to the Facilities Manager the following performance specifications for both the traction and hydraulic elevators: a) Contract speed b) Floor to floor time c) Door opening time ATTY/AGR.2024.006/Star Elevator, Inc.
