REV: 01-16-24 MI <br />4) Testing of Safety Devices <br />The Contractor shall periodically examine both car and counterweight. The first <br />examination shall be within one (1) month of the Effective Date of the Agreement. <br />On an annual basis, Contractor shall test the pressure relief valve of the hydraulic <br />elevators. The first test shall be done within one (1) month of the Effective Date of the <br />Agreement. <br />For all elevators with firefighters’ service, Contractor shall provide monthly Phase I <br />recall and a minimum of one-floor operation on Phase II to assure the system is <br />maintained in proper operating order. A written record of dates that tests were <br />performed and findings on the operation shall be made and kept in the machine room <br />of premises. <br />Contractor shall test any battery lowering device annually and shall ensure that such <br />devices operate as intended. The first test shall be done within one (1) month of the <br />Effective Date of the Agreement. <br />Contractor shall test the operation of the elevator under fire and other emergency <br />conditions to determine conformance with the applicable requirements of Rules 211. <br />3 through 211. 8, 3128, Rule 1002.2fJ. <br />5) Stock of Materials <br />Contractor shall provide only genuine parts supplied by the original manufacturer of <br />the equipment for replacement or repair, and shall furnish and use only those <br />lubricants obtained from and/or recommended by the manufacturer of the equipment. <br />The Contractor shall maintain a parts inventory and parts accessibility network <br />stocked with exclusive quality replacement parts. The Contractor shall stock <br />commonly used parts at the customer's job site, as well as in the service technician's <br />mobile vehicle. <br />6) Elevator Performance Requirements <br />Contractor shall maintain system performance, as per manufacturer’s specifications. <br />Should City inspect the system and find it not in conformance with the manufacturer's <br />system performance specifications, Contractor shall make necessary adjustments to <br />bring the equipment into conformance within thirty (30) days of receipt of written <br />notification of deficiencies. <br />At the start of the Agreement, the Contractor shall provide to the Facilities Manager <br />the following performance specifications for both the traction and hydraulic elevators: <br />a) Contract speed <br />b) Floor to floor time <br />c) Door opening time <br />ATTY/AGR.2024.006/Star Elevator, Inc.
