REV: 10-13-23 SK <br />FUNDING AGREEMENT <br />FOR HUMAN SERVICES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND <br />LIFEMOVES <br />THIS AGREEMENT for Human Services Financial Assistance Program <br />(“Agreement”), made and entered into this _____ day of ________________, 2023, by <br />and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal corporation of <br />the State of California (“City”), and LifeMoves, a California nonprofit corporation <br />(“Contractor”). Collectively, the City and Contractor will be referred to as the “Parties”. <br />RECITALS <br />A. WHEREAS, Contractor provides interim housing, programs, and services <br />to support basic human needs for homeless families and individuals (“Program”); <br />B. WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the Program for residents of Redwood City during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 2023, and ending June 30,2024; and <br />C. WHEREAS, City has reviewed the request and desires to allocate to <br />Contractor the sum Thirty Four Thousand Eight Hundred ($34,800). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br />1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Thirty Four Thousand Eight Hundred ($34,800) for exclusive use by Contractor during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2023 and ending June 30, 2024, to be used by Contractor <br />solely for the purposes described in Section 2. <br />2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to <br />Section 1 solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibit “A” (Contract Objectives) <br />attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. <br />3. CHANGES TO PROGRAM. No changes in the Program as described in <br />Exhibit “A” to this Agreement shall be made without the prior written consent of City <br />Manager. <br />4. PAYMENTS. Contractor will keep detailed and accurate records of all <br />expenditures made and expenses incurred which are funded under this Agreement. <br />Payments of funds allocated pursuant to Section 1 shall be made to Contractor within 30 <br />calendar days after this Agreement is fully signed and executed. <br />5. STANDARD OF SERVICE. Contractor warrants to the City that the Program <br />will be performed to the highest standards provided for projects of a similar or like nature <br />in the San Francisco Bay Area, as determined by City’s Human Services Manager. <br />ATTY/AGR.2023.256/LifeMoves (Redwood Family House) (Page 1 of 10) <br />5th April 2024
