Page 10 <br />Exhibit A <br />In consideration of the payments set forth in Exhibit B, Contractor shall provide the following services: <br />In consultation with the County, Contractor shall design and operate a Grocery Rescue Program in <br />San Mateo County for the San Mateo County Edible Food Recovery Program as required under CA SB <br />1383. Such program will provide regular route pickups, edible food generator outreach, fee for service <br />contract development, and redistribution in the service area. <br />Contractor shall purchase, service, and properly maintain a van for the purpose of collecting and <br />redistributing edible food from Tier 1 edible food generators as defined in CA SB 1383 in their San Mateo <br />County service area. Contractor shall be responsible for paying for insurance and fuel from the funds <br />provided. Contractor will be responsible for repair, service, and proper maintenance of the van from the <br />contingency funds. <br />Contractor shall run a twice-weekly grocery rescue redistribution at various multi-family housing <br />complexes in East Palo Alto. <br />Contractor shall run a once a week food distribution in coordination with Loaves and Fishes. <br />Contractor shall coordinate with 2 <br />nd Harvest of Silicon Valley to establish and maintain best practices and <br />demonstrate compliance with 2nd Harvest of Silicon Valley grocery rescue and food distribution standards. <br />Contractor shall follow the guidelines of 2 nd Harvest Food Bank as defined in their Food Assistance <br />Program Agreement and Grocery Rescue Partner Agency Agreement. <br />Contractor shall administer this contract, work with the food bank and the County, report on the progress, <br />and document the program. <br />Contractor shall hire, train and employ a driver for the purpose of collecting and distributing edible food. <br />Contractor will provide staff to set up, take down, unload, clean up, and troubleshoot at the grocery <br />rescue redistributions as designed under the Grocery Rescue Redistribution Program. <br />Contractor will install and maintain the refrigerator/freezer units for already prepared food and grocery <br />rescue activities. <br />REV: 02-27-24 LF <br />ATTY/AGR.2024.021/San Mateo County (Edible Food Recovery MOU) (Page 15 of 32)
