Title Screen: <br />•Welcome screen with the game's title: “ Rising <br />Waters”. <br />•Engaging visuals of the San Francisco bay area <br />that showcases the sea level rise. <br />•Play button with a call to action: “Lets go!“ <br />2. Introduction: <br />•Players are presented with a brief animated <br />infographic explaining the concept of sea level rise, <br />and its causes, and potential impacts on the San <br />Francisco Bay Area. This is followed by a map of the <br />Bay Area with a slider representing various levels of <br />sea level rise. Visitors can move the slider to see the <br />potential inundation of water depending on the <br />level of seal level rise. <br />3. Game Play: <br />•A brief tutorial provide a short explanation on how <br />to play the game – a multiple choice game <br />emphasizing the cause-and-effect nature of the <br />choices players will make. <br />•Here the objective of the game will clarify the goal <br />of making informed choices to mitigate the impact <br />of sea level rise on the city. <br />•The game environment is a section view of the San <br />Francisco Bay area. <br />There are different elements susceptible to sea <br />level rise. <br />•Players are presented with several pairs of choices, <br />each influencing the city scene positively or <br />negatively based on real-world consequences. <br />•As players make choices, the objects that they <br />select is added to the environment. <br />•Positive and negative visual feedback will be shown <br />when the players correctly or incorrectly make a <br />choice. The goal is to adequately prepare the city <br />for rising sea levels. <br />6. Completion and Rewards: <br />•After all the choices have been selected, a summary <br />of the player's choices and their overall impact on <br />the city is shown. <br />•A concise take home message is presented about <br />the importance of informed decision-making in the <br />face of sea level rise. <br />•The reward scene is accompanied by scenario <br />corresponding celebratory animations. <br />•Players now have the option to play again, <br />encouraging repetition for better learning. <br />7.
