1/10/00 <br /> <br /> Freeway Overlay District (as defined and described in the <br /> Zoning Ordinance); provided, that written consent to such <br /> placement has been obtained from the owner of the property <br /> prior to displaying the sign. <br /> <br /> d. Easements. No sign shall be placed under an overhead utility <br /> line, or in, on, within or over an easement owned by a public <br /> utility or utility company unless written consent for such <br /> placement has been obtained from the owner of the easement <br /> and location of the sign therein is not otherwise prohibited. <br /> <br /> e. Visibility Triangle. No sign exceeding three (3) feet in height <br /> (above grade) or any support pole or pedestal exceeding <br /> eighteen (18) inches in diameter shall be placed or displayed <br /> within a fifteen (15) foot visibility triangle on either side of the <br /> intersection of a driveway with a street or alley or the <br /> intersection of two (2) streets. "Fifteen foot visibility triangle" is <br /> the area encompassed by the triangle formed by projecting <br /> lines from the point of intersection (corner) of the edges of the <br /> vehicular travel portions of the intersecting streets or the <br /> intersecting street with the edges of the driveway or alley, as <br /> the case may be, fifteen (15) feet along said edges, and by <br /> closing said triangle with a line connecting the termini of said <br /> projected lines. <br /> <br /> f. Building Ingrsss/Egress. No sign shall be located in a <br /> manner that would obstruct ingress or egress from an exterior <br /> door, window or fire escape of a building or where it could <br /> interfere with emergency or handicap access. <br /> <br /> g. Building Roof. No sign shall be mounted on a building roof or <br /> which otherwise projects above a building wall, eave, or <br /> parapet. <br /> <br /> h. Parked Vehicles and Trailers. No sign shall be place, located, <br /> or displayed on or from parked vehicles or trailers on any public <br /> right-of-way or at any location visible from a public street for the <br /> primary purpose of offering the vehicle or trailer for sale or <br /> advertising a business, product, service or business activity; <br /> provided, however that signs which are incidental to the <br /> primary use of a vehicle or trailer, or signs on any vehicle or <br /> trailer owned by a public agency, or used in the ordinary and <br /> customary operation of a business are not prohibited. <br /> <br />Ord-099 <br />F:SharedlRedwoodlCouncil <br />DES;r9 <br />12/08/99 <br /> <br /> <br />
