The Program aims to support the community with skyrocketing <br />mental health issues, rising rates of depression and social isolation, and to help students feel <br />connected during distance learning, and stay in school by forming positive relationships with <br />an adult who cares for them who is not from their family. Contractor aims to match more <br />youth in the Redwood City community to 1-to-1 mentors, as well as increasing sessions as <br />Garfield, expanding to Kennedy Middle, and setting the groundwork for Menlo Atherton and <br />potential expansion into the Summit school district. <br />Primary Quantitative Objectives: Contractor will serve 400 incorporated Redwood City <br />persons in 100 households. <br />NOTE: The grant performance period begins July 1, 2023 and concludes June 30, 2024. <br />ATTY/AGR.2023.301/Friends For Youth (1-1 and Group Mentoring Programs) (Page 10 of 10)
