Page 2 of 4 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />Starting in 2016, City Council has annually adopted a resolution authorizing the levy and collection of the <br />annual assessments for the District. <br />Exhibit 1: Map of Seaport Boulevard Landscape Maintenance District <br />ANALYSIS <br />The District is assessed annually to allow taxes to be levied and collected by the San Mateo County <br />Controller and Tax Collector Offices with the secured property tax roll. Only special benefits are assessed, <br />and any general benefits have been separated from the special benefits as shown in the reports for the <br />District. The District’s annual assessment and formula for distributions were confirmed by City Council in <br />2015. <br />The proposed annual assessment for FY 2024-25 in the amount of $212,500 would not be a change from <br />the annual assessment stated in the confirmed reports and the assessment would not be a change from <br />the annual assessment levied since FY 2015-16. There is also no change in the formula and distribution of <br />benefit assessments among each individual parcel in the District from what was shown in the confirmed <br />Reports. <br />As shown in the Reports, the annual maintenance budget is in balance, with expected expenditures of the <br />District not exceeding assessments.
