City Council Report of Meeting/Conference Attendance <br />Vice Mayor Espinoza-Garnica reported on the June 20 Redwood City Together <br />Leadership Council Retreat. <br /> <br />Council Member Eakin reported on the June 21 ABAG annual meeting, and June <br />4 tour of the Hetch-Hetchy Regional Water System. <br /> <br />Council Member Howard reported on the June 18 event hosted by Congressman <br />Kevin Mullin and United Way Bay Area. <br /> <br />Mayor Gee reported on his recent trip to Aguililla, Mexico to celebrate the Sister <br />City relationship between the Redwood City and Aguililla. He plans to give a <br />detailed presentation of the trip at a future Council meeting. <br /> <br /> 10.B. City Council Committee Reports <br /> <br /> A. Governance Sub-Committee – Vice Mayor Espinoza-Garnica gave an update. <br /> <br /> B. Personnel Sub-Committee – Mayor Gee gave an update. <br /> <br /> C. 101/84 Project Ad Hoc Committee – Council Member Martinez Saballos gave <br />an update. <br /> <br /> D. Business License Tax Ad Hoc Committee – Council Member Howard gave an <br />update. <br /> <br /> 10.C. City Manager (Oral) Update – City Manager Melissa Stevenson Diaz gave the following <br />updates: <br />• City efforts in preparation for 4th of July festivities, including pending contracts <br />for fireworks <br />• An update on the June 3 fire incident at 27 Middlefield Road and the City’s <br />recovery and resource efforts, including support meetings for impacted <br />residents <br /> <br /> <br />11.
