Proclamation recognizing Kaiser Permanente's Physician-in-Chief Dr. Grace Firtch <br />Kaiser Permanente’s Physician-in-Chief Dr. Grace Firtch accepted the proclamation. <br /> <br /> 5.B. Oath of Office for newly appointed Board, Commission and Committee (BCC) members <br />City Clerk, Yessika Castro, administered the Oath of Office to the newly appointed <br />members of the Architectural Advisory Committee, Arts Commission, Board of Building <br />Review, Historic Resources Advisory Committee, Housing and Human Concerns <br />Committee, Library Board, Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission, <br />Planning Commission, and Senior Affairs Commission, <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC COMMENT ON THE CONSENT CALENDAR, MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST AND <br />ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />The following members of the public provided comments: <br /> Olga Gabris <br /> Stacie McClam <br /> <br />7. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Council Member Eakin stated that due to her relationship with one of the funding recipients <br />under item 7J, she has a perceived conflict of interest and therefore will be recusing from voting <br />on that item. <br /> <br />Mayor Gee stated that due to serving on the Governing Board of one of the funding recipients <br />under item 7J, he has a conflict of interest and therefore will be recusing from voting on that <br />item. <br /> <br />Council Member Aguirre stated that due to serving on the Latino Community Council, a funding <br />recipient under item 7J, she has a conflict of interest and therefore will be recusing from voting <br />on that item. <br /> <br />Council Member Howard pulled item 7H for discussion. <br /> <br />Motion and second, Howard and Martinez Saballos, to approve all items on the Consent <br />Calendar, except for item 7J, passed unanimously by electronic vote. <br /> <br />Motion and second, Sturken and Martinez Saballos, to approve item 7J, passed 4-0-3 by <br />electronic vote, with Council Members Aguirre, Eakin, and Mayor Gee recused. <br /> <br />
