Any child care facility other than a small or large family child care <br />home, typically including, but not limited to, infant centers, preschools, extended day care <br />facilities, and school age child care centers. <br />[Incorporated into Child Care Facility, now Child Care Center] <br /> <br />Child Care Center Facility. See Article 39 (Child Care). A facility that provides non- <br />medical care to children under eighteen (18) years of age in need of personal services, <br />supervision, or assistance essential for sustaining the activities of daily living, or for <br />protection of the individual on less than a twenty-four (24)-hour basis. Child Care Facilities <br />include Child Care Centers and Child Care Homes hereinafter defined. <br /> <br />Child Care Home. A home that regularly provides care, protection, and supervision of <br />fourteen (14) or fewer children, in the provider's own home, for periods of less than <br />twenty-four (24) hours per day, while the parents or guardians are absent. Child Care <br />Homes may either be located in a detached single-family residence or in a multi-family <br />unit. Child Care Homes shall include Small Family Child Care Homes and Large Family <br />Child Care Homes, hereinafter defined (see Family Child Care Homes). <br /> <br />Family Child Care Home, Large. See Article 39 (Child Care). A home dwelling that <br />provides family child care for seven (7) to twelve (12) children, in the provider's own home, <br />for periods of less than twenty-four (24) hours per day, while the parents or guardians are <br />absent. inclusive, including children under the age of ten (10) years who reside at the <br />home, and a home that provides care for more than twelve (12) children and up to <br />fourteen (14) children subject to the requirements Section 1597.465 of the State Health <br />and Safety Code, as the same now exists or as hereafter amended. <br /> <br />Family Child Care Home, Small. See Article 39 (Child Care). A home that provides family <br />child care for six (6) or fewer children, subject to the requirements of Section 1597.44 of <br />the State Health and Safety Code, as the same now exists or as hereafter amended. <br /> <br /> <br />Floor Area, Gross.
