All other definitions are unchanged.] <br /> <br />Article 2 - DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />2.2 - Definitions <br /> <br />Condominium. A building or group of buildings, in which units are owned <br />individually, and the structure, common areas and facilities are owned by all the owners <br />on a proportional, undivided basis. Includes development in which the individual owns <br />land directly below the "footprint" of a unit, and all other land within the project is owned <br />in common. Includes a condominium project, community apartment project, or stock <br />cooperative, as defined in California Civil Code Section 1351. A common interest <br />development as defined by California Civil Code Section 4100. <br /> <br />Dwelling, Accessory. See Section 37.2 of Article 37 (Accessory Dwelling Units). <br /> <br />Dwelling, 2-Family or Duplex. Two attached or detached dwelling units on a single <br />lot, but excluding accessory dwelling units. A building containing not more than two (2) <br />kitchens designed or used to house not more than two (2) families living independently of <br />each other, including all necessary employees of each such family. <br /> <br />Dwelling, Multi-Family Multiple. Three or more attached or detached dwelling units <br />on a single lot or in a single development, including townhouses, condominiums or rental <br />apartments and accessory community buildings or recreational facilities, but excluding <br />accessory dwelling units. A building or portion thereof, used and designed as a residence <br />for three (3) or more families living independently of each other and doing their own <br />cooking in said building, including apartment houses, apartment hotels, and flats, but not <br />including motels, boarding houses, and hotels. <br />Dwelling, Single-Family (land use). One dwelling unit on a lot that may include an <br />accessory dwelling unit. A building designed for, or used to house, not more than one (1) <br />family, including all necessary employees of such family. <br />Dwelling Unit. A building or portion of a building thereof designed or used <br />exclusively for residential occupancy which contains cooking, sleeping and sanitary <br />facilities for residential occupancy. Dwelling units, including one (1) -family, two (2)-family, <br />and multi-family dwelling, but do not including include hotels, motels, boarding rooming <br />houses, tents or trailers. Transitional housing, supportive housing, family childcare and <br />small residential care facilities are considered a residential use of property in any dwelling <br />type. <br />
