Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program <br /> <br />TABLE 4-1 (CONTINUED) <br />TRANSIT DISTRICT DTPP AMENDMENTS MITIGATION MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM <br />Redwood City Transit District DTPP Amendments 4-14 ESA / 202100421.00 <br />Final EIR October 2022 <br />MITIGATION MEASURES <br />Monitoring Program <br />Implementation <br />Responsibility <br />Monitoring and <br />Reporting Action <br />Monitoring <br />Responsibility <br />Monitoring <br />Schedule <br />Geology and Soils (cont’d.) <br />Mitigation Measure GEO-4b (formerly Mitigation Measure 16-2 from the DTPP <br />Final EIR with clarifying amendments): Project plans and specifications shall <br />ensure that water systems and other buried metal infrastructure in all future <br />development within the Transit District area shall, in addition to other coatings called <br />for in the specifications, have cathodic protection using a sacrificial anode system. <br />Design criteria for cathodic protection shall conform to Part VII (G) of the City’s <br />water system design criteria and standard specification details Section 02661. <br />Concrete mix designs shall conform to California Department of Transportation <br />(Caltrans) Memo to Designers 10-5 January 2002 Protection Reinforcement Against <br />Corrosion Due to Chlorides, Acids, and Sulfates. <br />Project Applicant, <br />City <br />Measure is <br />incorporated into <br />construction plans and <br />specifications <br />City Prior to issuance of <br />building permit <br />Mitigation Measure GEO-6 (formerly Mitigation Measure 7-5 from the DTPP <br />Final EIR with clarifying amendments): Prior to the issuance of grading or <br />demolition permits, the Community Development & Transportation Department, in <br />coordination with a qualified paleontologist, shall assess individual development <br />project proposals within the Transit District area for the potential to destroy unique <br />paleontological resources. The City’s Community Development and Transportation <br />Department shall require development proposals entailing significant earthworks or <br />deep foundations with the potential to penetrate sedimentary rock layers to <br />incorporate a study by a professional paleontologist to assess the potential for <br />damage of paleontological resources. Should the paleontologist determine that the <br />proposal has the potential to damage paleontological resources, the paleontologist <br />shall provide detailed provisions for the protection of these resources to the City’s <br />Community Development & Transportation Department. These provisions may <br />include the complete avoidance of the resource, in -place preservation, and/or <br />complete data recovery as discussed in Mitigation Measure CR-2. Implementation of <br />this measure would reduce the potential impact on paleontological resources to a <br />less-than-significant level. <br />Project Applicant, <br />qualified <br />paleontologist, <br />Community <br />Development & <br />Transportation <br />Department <br />1.
