EXIBHIT A <br /> <br />SHINNYO-EN FOUNDATION GRANT TO <br />REDWOOD CITY TOGETHER <br />FOR <br />“The 2024-2025 Shinnyo Community Impact Fellow” <br /> <br /> <br />*Any changes or adjustments to goals and objectives require prior approval by Shinnyo- <br />en Foundation. Please submit your request in writing to the Grants Manager. <br /> <br />Grant Goal(s)*: <br /> <br />The 2024-2025 Shinnyo Fellowship Program at Redwood City Together and Stanford’s Gardner Center <br />for Youth and their Communities seeks to achieve the following goals: <br />Goal 1: To provide a professional service opportunity to a recent Stanford post undergraduate student <br />through the Shinnyo Fellowship Program at Redwood City Together and Stanford’s Gardner Center <br />for Youth and their Communities to accomplish a goal mutually developed between the Fellow and <br />the organizations. <br />Related Objectives: <br />1. Recruit and select a Shinnyo Fellow whose passion, skills and interests align with and uphold <br />the Shinnyo-en Foundation’s peace initiative “Infinite Paths to Peace.” <br />2. Train and onboard the identified Fellow, including close collaboration with the Fellow and <br />the Mentor to identify a community partner organization that will help develop their skills. <br />3. Set professional expectations to position the Fellow for success and provide professional <br />development and coaching. <br />4. Work on a specified research project at Stanford’s Gardner Center to enhance the Fellow’s <br />experience and professional development while furthering the goals of the Gardner Center. <br />Goal 2: Deepen the Fellow’s reflection on their professional learning and growth, and personal path <br />to peace. <br />Related Objectives: <br />1. Develop reflection opportunities through close collaboration with the Fellow and Mentor. <br />2. The Mentor will select guided readings related to service, reflective practice, and peace to <br />further grow the Fellow’s wellbeing. The Mentor will also outline journaling expectations <br />and strategies for self-reflection. <br />3. The Mentor will meet with the Fellow weekly, with added availability as needed to support <br />the Fellow. <br />4. The mentor will recommend professional development opportunities including conferences, <br />workshops, or affinity groups that match the Fellow’s interests. <br /> <br />Goal 3: With the Fellow’s assistance, strengthen and promote a community of service through the <br />Shinnyo Fellowship Program at Redwood City Together and Stanford’s Gardner Center for Youth <br />and their Communities. <br /> <br />Related Objectives: <br />1. The Mentor and the Executive Director of Redwood City Together and Deputy Director of <br />Stanford’s Gardner Center will identify ways to promote the Shinnyo Fellowship during the <br />academic year, to reinforce service opportunities and begin recruiting prospective Fellows. <br />2.
