<br />REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />November 23, 2009 <br /> <br />SUBJECT <br />Amendment No.1 to the agreement with Huffman-Broadway Group, Inc. for Environmental <br />Regulatory Consulting Services related to the maintenance dredging of the Redwood Shores <br />Lagoon <br /> <br />RECOMMENDAnON <br />Approve, by motion, Amendment No. 1 to the agreement with Huffman-Broadway Group, Inc. <br />in the amount of $46,444.06 for a total contract value of $164,944.06. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />The Redwood Shores Lagoon System Dredging project is designed to improve the water <br />quality and the serviceability of the storm drainage system. <br /> <br />On February 24, 2009, Council approved the original agreement with Huffman-Broadway for <br />environmental regulatory consulting services for the Redwood Shores Lagoon Maintenance <br />Dredging project in the amount of $118,500.00. The scope of work included preparing the <br />necessary drawings, maps, reports and permit applications to obtain regulatory approval from <br />various state and federal environmental agencies such as the Dredging Maintenance <br />Management Office, Corps of Engineers, Bay Area Conservation Development Commission, <br />Regional Water Quality Control Board, Environmental Protection Agency, and others. <br /> <br />The proposed amendment will provide for additional permitting assistance to meet regulatory <br />requirements not anticipated as part of the original process.
