In order for a city to continue to operate its own LCP t the program must be approved by <br />DIR and the city will need to seek a fee waiver from DIR once the regulations take affect; <br />. Cities currently under contract with a third party LCP will pay a fee to DIR on all future <br />projects; and <br />. They willleam how to engage and educate local groups about the importance of the <br />census, involve community members in events in "hard-te-count" areas of their districts and work <br />in tandem with other state and local offices to help ensure a complete count in California. <br /> <br />It's very important that California's census Is accurate.
