Page 5 of 5 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />•Acknowledgement form: Added Code of Conduct, and changed due date to submit signed <br />form to City Clerk’s Office from 60 days to 30 days following appointment, to align with Form <br />700 requirements. <br />•Organizational charts: Removed citywide organizational chart and updated Council/BCC flow <br />chart. <br />•BCC eligibility: Revised criteria for BCCs that recently adopted changes to eligibility (Arts <br />Commission, Housing and Human Concerns Committee, Parks, Recreation and Community <br />Services Commission, Police Advisory Committee, and Senior Affairs Commission). <br />•BCC work plans: Removed work plan references from some BCC-specific sections and <br />centralized information to one section. <br />•Streamlined content: Deleted conduct-related language that were covered under the newly <br />added Code of Conduct section, and rearranged certain sections for better relevance and flow. <br />•Role of Chair: Incorporated Exhibit B – Roles and Responsibilities of the Chair directly into the <br />corresponding section of the Handbook for efficiency. <br />•Role of staff liaisons: Incorporated Exhibit C – Roles and Responsibilities of Staff Liaisons <br />directly into the corresponding section of the Handbook for efficiency. <br />To align with policies set forth in the Guide to City Council Communications and Business, it is <br />recommended that a policy for BCC member conduct be implemented into the BCC Handbook, along with <br />the aforementioned cleanup revisions, and presented to the full City Council for consideration and <br />approval. <br />Review and consider: <br />Staff is asking the Sub-Committee to consider the following: <br />1.Recommend the revised City Boards, Commissions and Committees Handbook with newly added <br />section related to BCC Code of Conduct, and other miscellaneous edits, to the full City Council at <br />a future meeting. <br />ATTACHMENT <br />A.Draft revised City Boards, Commissions and Committees Handbook <br />9.B. - Page 8 of 53 <br />164
