Learn why this is important <br />Dear Redwood City Council, <br />Please restore the ability for residents to make public comment at meetings without having to <br />appear in person. As I'm sure you've noticed, allowing only in-person public comments means <br />that commenters are mostly old white homeowners like me, who have the time to go to long <br />dull meetings. The rest of your citizenry gets mostly shut out, because with job and childcare <br />responsibilities they are more likely to be unable to spare a few hours to go to Council <br />chambers to comment. <br />You can make better decisions if you hear from a wider variety of viewpoints. Please restore <br />remote public comment, with appropriate safeguards against people whose only intention is <br />disruption. <br />-- <br />-- Anne Paulson
