I have ill with the flu and away from my computer.. You asked me to <br />describe Life Science!ls experience monitoring plants populations in wetlands. We performed: <br />The wetland delineations required for the South Bay Initial Stewardship project) <br />The wetlands delineations for the Bair Island Restoration Project} <br />Wetlands delineation for the Fenna Yard in Redwood city. <br /> <br />We are quite experienced describing wetlands plant communities in the San Francisco Bay. <br /> <br />After reviewing the Corps Requirements and Discussions with NOAA, we propose the follwing approach to the <br />delineation project: <br /> <br />Using a shallow draft boat complete a reconnaissance sUlVey of the dredging area. Areas of dense wideon grass <br />would be marked on a scaled topomap using a GPS. Areas of wideon grass would surveyed using a four-point <br />scale. Following the initial survey, density of widgeon grass in representative patches would be quantified by <br />transects through the patches. At least 100 transects would me characterized. Additionally; we would characterize <br />wideon grass in areas thatW'ould not be impacted by dredging.
